Job Summary: The Product Owner – Credit Systems is responsible for the end‑to‑end ownership, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the Bank’s Loan Origination System (LOS) and related credit platforms. This role serves as the primary business owner of the credit technology stack, acting as the central point of coordination between Credit, internal IT teams, and external system vendors. The Product Owner ensures that credit systems are designed and implemented in alignment with the Bank’s credit risk framework, governance standards, regulatory expectations, and digital transformation objectives. The role requires strong expertise in credit processes, system implementations, and agile product management, with a focus on enhancing underwriting efficiency, data quality, transparency, auditability, and user experience.

Primary Responsibilities: The Product Owner play a critical role in supporting Bradesco Banks credit governance framework and lead the end‑to‑end ownership and delivery of credit system initiatives, including the Loan Origination System (LOS), covering scoping, requirements definition, planning, execution, testing, deployment, and post‑implementation monitoring, also, including:

  • Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for credit systems, aligned with the Bank’s credit governance framework, risk appetite, and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure credit systems support end‑to‑end credit lifecycle management, including underwriting, approval, documentation, disbursement, monitoring, amendments, and renewals.
  • Serve as the business Product Owner (PO) responsible for ensuring credit technology initiatives align with the Bank’s credit risk appetite, governance framework, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project‑related credit, operational, and compliance risks, defining mitigation strategies and monitoring risk items throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Ensure all credit system initiatives remain within the Bank’s risk tolerance and are executed in compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and supervisory expectations.
  • Collaborate with Credit, internal IT, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Treasury, Audit, and external vendors to gather requirements, ensure cross‑functional alignment, and provide transparent updates on project status, risks, dependencies, and issues.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring accurate translation of credit, policy, and regulatory requirements into system functionality and design.
  • Develop, maintain, and govern project and product documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, backlog items, issue logs, change management records, testing artifacts, and implementation documentation.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring features and enhancements that deliver the highest value to credit quality, control, efficiency, and auditability are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Support and coordinate risk assessments, control testing, and validation activities related to credit systems to ensure effective implementation of risk mitigation controls and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that credit systems and related business processes comply with applicable laws, regulations, internal credit policies, and governance standards, including support for policy and procedure updates when system changes are introduced.
  • Coordinate and support internal audits, regulatory exams, and independent validations related to credit systems, ensuring timely remediation of findings and tracking of corrective action plans.
  • Implement and uphold credit system governance and product management best practices, including approval workflows, data integrity controls, version control, audit trails, and segregation of duties.
  • Monitor, measure, and report system performance metrics, delivery milestones, and post‑implementation outcomes to senior management, Credit leadership, and Risk Management committees.
  • Promote a strong risk awareness, control, and compliance culture across credit technology initiatives, ensuring system design reinforces sound credit risk management principles.

Education and Experience: Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar with an advanced degree preferred. Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services, with demonstrated experience in:

-Product ownership or project leadership for credit systems or Loan Origination Systems

-System implementation and vendor management in a regulated banking environment

-Cross‑functional delivery involving Credit, IT, Compliance, and Operations

  • Strong experience with product management and agile delivery models
  • Prior experience working within credit risk, underwriting, or credit operations functions strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to senior management
  • Using written format, effectively communicate clear and concise messages to clients, co­workers and vendors
  • Able to work in a high pressure, deadline driven work environment.
  • Able to work independently on projects with title oversight
  • Demonstrate a high degree of attention to details and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, ability to synthesize large amounts of information, analyze risk and identify mitigating factors within the system implementation.
  • Apply organizational skills towards managing assigned tasks, projects and assignments

Language Skills: Excellent Written/Verbal skills. Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus
