Job Description
Solo private law practice located in Downtown Honolulu with a focus on Family, Criminal, and Immigration Law.
We are currently looking for a Part-Time Paralegal.
3+ years of Family and/or Criminal legal experience required.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting basic legal documents/pleadings/exhibits
- Proofreading documents/state and federal court pleadings
- Court-filing and downloading documents from JEFS and CM/ECF
- Preparing correspondence
- Filing and organizing documents and client files
- Answering phones, taking messages
- Transmitting documents (scan/email/mail/certified)
- Helping keep track of deadlines
- Assisting with discovery management and trial preparation
- Communicating with clients, attorneys, court staff, vendors, etc.
