Supporting the U.S. Department of Justice's complex litigation mission, the full-time remote Law Clerk II will perform legal research, prepare draft legal documents, review documents for relevance and privilege, and assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. Key responsibilities: Conduct complex legal research and prepare various legal documents, including motions and briefs Review documents for relevance and privilege while assisting attorneys with litigation tasks Act as a primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff on larger projects Required qualifications: Must possess a law degree or have an approved waiver based on comparable education and experience At least two to three years of progressively responsible experience in litigation support projects Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance prior to start Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
