We are seeking a detail-oriented Painter I to join our production team. In this role, you will support operations by preparing, masking, and applying protective coatings and primers to customers' products, including unassembled aircraft parts. Responsibilities
- Masks and preps parts as required.
- Applies pre-mixed and blended primer to interior and exterior of unassembled aircraft parts.
- Sprays surfaces of manufactured products with protective paint by performing the following duties:
- Cleans contaminants from product
- Preps parts for primer application
- Selects and mixes coating per job router
- Cleans and maintains spray equipment
- Maintains quality of all parts requiring paint applications
- Efficiently manages time to meet customer demand
- Portrays commitment to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Interacts professionally with co-workers and vendors; understands internal customers; and strives to maintain good relations with others.
- Responds quickly to inquiries and follows up as needed.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by business demands.
- Embraces change to ensure overall success of the company
The essential functions of this role include:
- wearing steel toe shoes
- working in a non-temperature controlled environment
- manual lifting up to 100lbs
- standing for 10 hours at one time
- working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
