Job Description
We’re hiring a Videographer to consistently capture high-quality jobsite content and turn it into clear, homeowner-friendly videos that build trust and drive leads.
Role Summary
You’ll be responsible for planning, filming, and editing video content for Elite Roofing across platforms (especially Facebook/Instagram/YouTube -style content). This is a field-based role—expect to be on job sites regularly capturing real work, real people, and real results.
Key Responsibilities
Production (filming on-site)
Film on roofing job sites: before/during/after, progress updates, finished walkarounds
Capture customer testimonials (with permission) and team interviews
Record educational content: “what to expect,” “how we protect your property,” “roofing myths,” etc.
Capture b-roll of crews, materials delivery, safety setup, cleanup, and quality details
Editing & post-production
Edit short-form videos (15–60 sec) for Reels/Shorts-style content with captions/subtitles
Edit longer videos (2–8 min) for YouTube/Facebook when needed (project spotlights, FAQs)
Add basic motion graphics, titles, music, and simple transitions consistent with our brand
Export in the correct formats/sizes for each platform and keep files organized
Content planning & coordination
Coordinate with the office/sales team to be on the right jobs at the right times
Maintain a simple weekly filming plan and deliver edits on deadlines
Build and manage an organized content library (by date, job, location, type of content)
Brand & professionalism
Represent Elite Roofing professionally with homeowners and on job sites
Follow safety rules and jobsite protocols (PPE, awareness around ladders/crews/equipment)
Requirements
Proven videography + editing experience (portfolio required)
Comfortable filming on active job sites and interacting with homeowners and crews
Strong editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
Ability to capture clean audio (lav mic/shotgun mic knowledge) and stable footage (gimbal/tripod)
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally in WV
Strong organization and follow-through
Nice to Have
Drone experience (FAA Part 107 preferred if flying commercially)
Basic photography skills
Experience creating content for service businesses (roofing, construction, home services)
Familiarity with Canva and simple brand templates
