Overview
Registered Nurse - Med Surg assignment on a high-acuity surgical/trauma floor in Atlanta, GA, US. Start date 04/20/2026 for an 8-week travel assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $1,572 to $1,634, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Night shift on a 2x3 schedule. This hospital setting supports spinal neuro-trauma and trauma surgical patients, including gunshot injuries and paraplegia/quadriplegia cases. Staffing includes Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and a night unit secretary; ED and admitting units complete nurse handoffs. EPIC is the required electronic medical record system, and BLS is required with ACLS preferred. No return-to-office (RTO) requests are permitted for this assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for high-acuity Med Surg patients on a spinal neuro-trauma/surgical unit
- Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor status, administer medications, manage IVs, and execute wound care as needed
- Conduct frequent neuro checks, respond to changes in patient condition, and participate in rapid decision-making
- Document accurately in EPIC and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, timely care
- Coordinate with Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and the unit secretary; ED and admitting units will complete nurse handoffs
- Adhere to infection control protocols and medication administration procedures; maintain 5:1 patient ratio expectations

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med Surg or a high-acuity specialty
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Willingness to work night shifts on a 2x3 schedule; no block scheduling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with appropriate patient care and handoff processes
