Position Summary

SOFFA is a well-established systems integration firm with over 50 years of experience delivering automation and control solutions within the water and wastewater industry. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex system integration projects from initiation through completion.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety while ensuring successful coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, along with a proactive approach to risk management and problem-solving.

An active PMP certification is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage water/wastewater system integration projects from contract award through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, procurement, and technical services.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Manage project financials, including forecasting, cost control, and change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status updates to management and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and responsiveness.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 10+ years of project management experience in water/wastewater systems integration required.
  • Demonstrated success managing technically complex projects.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field required.

Certification

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification — required and current.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.

  • Ability to effectively present information to management and clients.
