Raw Materials Specialist

Hybrid, In Office 3 Days/week

Manhattan New York 10038

Contract duration : 5 + Months with possibility to extension

Introduction

This individual contributor position is responsible for ensuring the quality of colors and fabrics, including garments and components, to assure final product quality. The role involves assisting in the technical development, pre-production, and cataloguing of all fabrics and colors through to production. Regular visits to company stores are required to monitor the quality and consistency of fabrics and color under store lighting conditions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• College degree in technical education or equivalent experience
• Experience in fabric and color development
• Experience in the development of intimates raw materials (knits, wovens)
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with PLM systems
• Organizational skills for both physical raw materials libraries and digital record keeping
• Prior work experience in raw materials for a brand

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in intimates raw materials at a similar brand
• Team player, social, communicative, flexible

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Participate in approximately 4-6 daily meetings
• Engage in daily email communication and follow-up
• Coordinate with design teams
• Perform daily organizational and record-keeping tasks, including PLM and physical organization
