Packer & Racker - 2nd Shift

Job Title: Packer & Racker / Production
Schedules: Monday - Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Location: Hillside, IL
Pay Rate: $15.00/hr but with lots of opportunity for overtime

Position Summary
The Packer & Racker is responsible for preparing products for production, storage, and shipment by accurately racking, inspecting, packaging, and labeling materials. This role ensures products are handled safely, meet quality standards, and are processed efficiently throughout the manufacturing and distribution process.

Key Responsibilities

Racking Duties

• Load and arrange products onto racks, fixtures, or designated holding equipment according to production requirements.
• Ensure products are properly spaced and secured to prevent damage.
• Inspect products before and after processing for quality and compliance.
• Remove finished products from racks and prepare them for packaging.
• Maintain accurate counts of materials and products.

Packing Duties

• Package products according to company and customer specifications.
• Inspect products for defects, damage, or inconsistencies before packing.
• Label cartons, pallets, and shipments accurately.
• Verify orders against packing lists and production schedules.
• Prepare completed orders for shipping or storage.

General Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
• Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling as needed.
• Meet daily production and quality goals.
