Skills and Experience What You'll Do as a Seasonal Package Sorter: - Maintain a safe work environment by lifting and placing 50 lb. mail sacks or packages into containers with proper technique.
- Embrace technology by efficiently scanning labels and entering data into our system.
- Ensure smooth customer shipment processing by meeting our PPH (production per hour) goals for scanning and manual encoding.
- Take ownership of your encoding station, setting it up efficiently each day and ensuring everything is properly stored at the end of your shift.
- Maintain a keen eye, inspecting mail and labels for any potential issues.
- If you spot a production or quality problem, you'll be the first line of defense, reporting it to the appropriate manager.
The Ideal Candidate Might: - Have previous warehouse or scanning experience (a plus)
- Need physical stamina for repetitive lifting (50 lbs.) , prolonged standing, overhead reaching, squatting, bending, and kneeling
- Read, comprehend, and carry out verbal instructions in English
- Have basic math skills such as counting, addition, and subtraction
- A knack for sorting alphabetically and numerically
- Have strong organization, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
- Thrive in fast-paced environment and be a team player
