General Manager

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented General Manager to oversee daily operations of our vehicle detailing department. This role is responsible for leading a team, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering spotless results.

Core Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
  • Oversee daily workflows including vehicle detailing, cleaning, washing, and polishing
  • Ensure all services meet company quality standards and deadlines
  • Staff Leadership & Training
  • Recruit, hire, train, and schedule detailing staff
  • Provide ongoing coaching on detailing techniques, chemical safety, and customer service best practices
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team environment
  • Quality Control
  • Conduct final inspections on all vehicles before customer delivery
  • Enforce strict cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Inventory & Supplies
  • Manage inventory levels of detailing chemicals, tools, and equipment
  • Order supplies as needed and ensure proper maintenance of equipment
  • Customer Experience
  • Greet customers and ensure a professional, friendly experience
  • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively
  • Strive for 100% customer satisfaction
  • Financial Performance
  • Monitor daily productivity and efficiency
  • Manage labor costs and staffing levels
  • Track and report key business metrics
  • Typical Daily Tasks
  • Lead morning meetings to assign production goals
  • Perform quality control inspections
  • Order and restock detailing supplies
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Handle customer service situations and escalations
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: 3–5+ years in a service-related industry (automotive or detailing experience preferred)
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold teams accountable
  • Attention to Detail: High standards for cleanliness and quality control
  • Organization: Strong time management and communication skills
  • Driver's License: Valid license required to move customer vehicles
